Peppermill axes FPDW!!!

There yesterday but gone today. The six 10-coin 25-cent machines at
the north entrance had their pay table changed to that of NSUD, while
the row of 5-coin 25-cent machines in the alcove between the fish bar
and the fireside lounge has been completely removed. More info later
as it becomes available.

aaiiiieeeeeeee......!
SHRIEKS of TERROR can be heard even over the internet from the Reno and the
Peppermill faithful. This is a sorry day, indeed.

Along with the no bonus cash offers from Silver Legacy of late, where am I supposed
to get the butter for my bread and butter?

No surprise here. Peppermill furniture is in constant flux. Amazing these games lasted as long as they did. Perhaps in six months (maybe around October?? i.e. after the busy summer months) something good will reappear. In the meantime, 10/7 DB in quarters and dollars looks like the best play, and they have NSUD in every platform.

The point is, the Peppermill puts 'em in and then they takes 'em out and then they...........Just when you're comfortable they pull the rug out.

My shriek is added to the resounding bedlam! Why I am not surprised?
This is the same old PEPP that caused me to move over to SL three
years ago, when they removed the .25c - $1.00 FPDW & FPJW from the
bank of slant-tops near the Coffee Shop. Previously, these great
slant-tops had been located near the Steak House. Now, they're in
some alley on Virginia Street! )-: Woe is us!

I'm scheduled to be at PEPP for 5 days in June. Maybe I'll settle
for 3 days, and do the other 2 days at SL. At least they still have
a few FP Wild Things. Though, who knows what will occur in the next
4 weeks to change this.

Thanks for the sad heads-up, anyway! At least we know what we're in
for prior to arriving. It will certainly save me much looking around
for the MIA FPDW. I'm grateful that you shared this with the list.

Best regards,
-Babe-

Not that my opinion really matters but regardless that some of the
games get moved or removed, the Peppermill still has the best VP
inventory in Reno, bar none. My slot host, Gary Bough, informed me
that many of the games that have disappeared will return upon
completion of the casino expansion. Considering the level of comps I
get from the Peppermill (more generous than any other I get from
Reno casinos) I will continue to make the Pepp my main gaming
location in Reno.

Of course your opinion counts, Jonathan. Why wouldn't your thoughts
be as meaningful as those of any other poster?

I also happen to agree with you. Despite the late, lamented FPDW, I
believe that PEPP still offers 10/7DB progs., 10/6/40DDB, 8/5BP,50 &
100 play 1c,2c,5c FP JOB, and frequent very high prog. short-pay
NSUD & JW that often turn positive. Having to "suffer" with just
this inventory is not too grievously unpleasant.

However, that is not to say that I won't miss the FPDW. Despite the
fact that the PEPP FP deuces were never kind to me, I played the
heck out of them, and just "knew" the lovely quad 2's were going to
show up soon.

Fortunately, the JOB, DB & DDB machines were much nicer to me, and I
have had many excellent Royals at PEPP. Outside of the DW, PEPP is
actually one of my "lucky" places, and the Reno casino that I enjoy
calling home.

My slot host, Gary Bough, informed me that many of the

games that have disappeared will return upon completion of the
casino expansion.

I certainly hope that is true, though based on much similiar mis-
information that I've heard in the past, from various casino hosts
and suits, I'd approach the statement with just a touch of
skepticism.

Considering the level of comps I get from the

Peppermill (more generous than any other I get from Reno casinos) I
will continue to make the Pepp my main gaming location in Reno.
Jonathan

I'm in total agreement. I think that PEPP hosts are much more
generous with comps and also a great deal more gracious in bestowing
their largess.

I only stay at the Silver Legacy when my husband accompanies me. He
prefers the more subdued ambiance of SL, and since I'm also comped
there, I accomodate his preference.

However, when I'm on solo trip, I will continue to patronize PEPP.
I am much more comfortable with their extremely helpful employees
and most especially, my wonderful host.

I hope that you continue to enjoy all the VP excellence that PEPP
has to offer, and that all your visits there are profitable!

Best regards,
-Babe-
