I have been trying to develop a strategy generator feature in Optimum Video Poker. The trouble is that the hand rank list generated during a game analysis includes all of these cases in excruciating detail. My problem is how to reduce this to a practical form that can be used by a human player without giving up a significant amount of expected return. Suggestions are welcomed.

to do) there are 1292 distinct situations that can arise in this game.
To completely account for every penalty situation, no matter how
small, would require a strategy that is much more complicated than
the one generated by existing VP software.
