To break up the PE boredom, I have been counting good dealt trips (where
you get to keep all 3) versus bad (pair on the right where you have to throw
one). Theoretically good and bad are equally likely, and I have been
counting to "grade" my luck. For about 10 sessions I have been dealt more bad
trips than good for every session with some sessions 2/1 for bad.

I realize this is too small a sample to be significant, but I wonder if
anyone else has kept track of this?

That is normal. To get dealt trips you need to get 3 matches out of 4
cards (2 dealt plus one of the 2 you keep). With the "bad" trips you need to
get 3 out of 5 cards.

I suppose I was not clear definitionally; good trips I define as dealt:
XX Xy or XX yX and bad trips I define as Xy XX or yX XX with the rare but anoying XX XX not counted. The number of good trips and bad dealt should be equal.

I happened to notice an earnings report for Mohegan Sun in a local
Connecticut newspaper. They reported a 26 percent in profits in their latest
quarterly but that was primarily due to an increase in revenues from table
games introduced last year at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Overall
slot-machine win was down. I typically don't track this stuff so perhaps
someone out there with more knowledge of their finances can pipe in but I
was curious about the earnings report given Mohegan's recent changes to
comps at the CT casino. While there are numerous things that affect
earnings, they claim to be pleased with the results thus, I guess, they may
be pleased with the results of the changes that they made in Connecticut.

I frankly have not traveled to MS as much this year in part due to some of
the downgrades. Simply not worth it.

On a side note, the article also mentions that a new restaurant, Ballo,
would be opening there this summer.

They note the January weather as a reason and there is no doubt in my mind that was a big reason. What an absolutely horrible Winter.
