paris offer for $3000 cash or live chips

i received this offer through mail yesterday(for jan 2-5) and then
called to book today but was told they were sold out. has anyone been
able to book this offer. i dont have a host and thought maybe the host
got their people in first. also, why do they send offers if they aren't
going to leave it open to everyone they invite? i've never received
more than $100 from harrahs casino's so this shocked me. the rep i
talked to on phone told me it was for cash and not just freeplay.

I got the same offer in the mail last week. I called them immediately
and was told the same thing ("no availability" for this offer). I asked
the rep if the $3,000 cash offer was a mistake. She said it was
definitely not a mistake -- but was a very limited offer. I asked if
she thought it would be worth my time calling back occasionally,
just in case someone cancels and a reservation would open up.
She said (very confidently), "no."

My guess is that it really was a mistake and they are just telling
people that there is no more availability for this offer - rather than
telling people the truth.

Or....maybe, the offer is being erroneously sent to people who
don't really 'qualify' for such a large cash offer. Then, when we
low-rollers try to book the offer, we're told it's 'sold out' - rather
than being told the truth.

So, I too would also be interested in hearing if anyone in this
group was successful in booking this offer.

Got the same thing.
It was a mistake.

I agree with other poster, this had to be a mistake. I received my
$3,000 offer a couple days ago and automatically assumed it was a
mistake. Sounds like I got mine earlier than most. Should have
called. I will try today and post results, however I am sure it is an
exercise in futility. Largest cash offer I have had from a LV Harrahs
owned company was $150.

We're in NJ and received this same offer yesterday. When we called they
said it had sold out on Oct 14th - which sounds like they cancelled it
before they mailed it. Probably a typo that they didn't catch until it
was too late to stop the mailing. On the other hand, perhaps they just
reduced the availability to a dozen or so - did anybody out there act
quickly and get a YES instead of a SOLD OUT?

There's an extra zero in there somewhere. That would be an *incredibly*
generous offer considering the economic times.

A while back Paris sent me a letter for $2000 in promotional chips,
NOT cash. I took a chance and presented the letter at the cage
WITHOUT BOOKING A STAY and they cashed it with 2 $500 promtional
chips and 10 $100 chips. The chips were for one time use only and
collected after every hand of blackjack whether you won or not. I
lost the first three hands, won the last two, walked out with $800
and have not been back since.

I come in from out of town and took a chance which worked. All of you
locals should always try with these offers, as the worst they can say
is no. Or, they might call a host that approves it. But why not try?

The offer (that this thread is about) is for $3,000 CASH - not for 'one time
use' chips.

It's obvious that it was an error and Paris is just covering it up.

The offer also included large amounts of additional cash based on
large amounts of play. I do not think the offer was an error, but I
am sure it was only intended for very high rollers and not quarter
players.

"Did anybody out there.....get a YES instead of a SOLD OUT?"

That was the question asked in the very first post about this
subject (3 days ago). And, so far, not one vpFREE member
has admitted (to this Group) that they were successful in
booking this offer.
