Paris/Bally increases offers & Harrah's merger benefits

Harrah's takeover of Paris/Ballys has been good news so far, though we don't
know what the New Year will bring when the clubs are all combined into one.
Normally I get 2 offers from Paris/Ballys per month - one for a shopping
spree, one for cash when you play 4 hrs and stay 2 nights (I'm at the $1000
level, some people get less, some more, depending on play/theoretical loss
values) plus occasional tournament offers.

In the last month or so I've been getting a lot more offers such as:

Le Reve tickets with stay
Ka tickets with stay
(I've never gotten offers for outside shows from Paris/Ballys before)

An offer for various digital cameras or flat-screen TVs if you play 4 hours
- value probably about $800-900.

Crystal globe for your desk

etc.

Meanwhile some people who get offers from Harrahs that include hotel rooms
are now also getting offers for 2 free Jubilee tickets at Ballys or rooms at
Caesars, etc.
----------------------------

Cross offers could be a good thing.

What we don't know is will the Caesars/Ballys/Park Place properties
eliminate regular cashback after merger? Will they still have the really good
shopping sprees/cashbash events like they do now? Will they still have the ability
to offer RFB, etc.

I'm also wondering about Ballys/Paris yearly "Christmas Cash" bonus event -
will this take place this year? (I could use that cash!) Mirage properties
have a very good Xmas gift bonus event. Venetian has a not very good Grazzi
Gift event.

misscraps,

I'm glad they are increasing their offers in Las Vegas and other
properties. Since Harrahs took over Bally's in Atlantic City, the
reports have been that the offers have gotten much worse. We'll
just have to wait and see how everything gets integrated. But be
sure to take advantage of everything they give you while it lasts.

It's not just the offers in AC; for me, it's mailings in general. I
haven't received a mailing from Bally's since May. I also haven't
received a "Columns" mailing from Caesar's since May (are they still
publishing it?); I've only been getting individual mailings from them
about the new parking garage, notices of cashback earned on previous
trips, and two invitation-only drawings (for previous jackpot winners).

MrZenith,

The atlantic city vp poker players report they are still receiving
monthly mailings from Ballys, but the offers have deteriorated
somewhat. I don't know about Ceasars. My inclination would be to
conclude that something is not right with your account at Ballys.
You'd better look into it.
