We live equidistant from Par-a-Dice, Argosy of Alton in Illinos, and
the Casino Queen in East St. Louis. We have passed up the Par-a-Dice
for a long time for the reasons you mention. You'll probably be more
satisfied at either of the other two Casinos.

Some facts to consider. Last month, Adjusted Gross Revenue (Casino
hold) per admission, was $93 at the Par-a-Dice, compared to $77 at the
Alton and $76 at the Casino Queen and of course this is from all the
games. That's a pretty big difference.

Illinois' reports don't break out VP from the slots in the category of
Electronic Gaming Devices (EGD) so the figures for EGD include VP and
slots. But Casinos have reasonably simimilar proportions of VP among
all those slots, so the stats are at least general indicators.

How much is their edge in EGD? Par-a-Dice now 7.76%. Alton 6.68%.
Casino Queen 5.52% The difference has been consistent for several
years.

Plus the Casino Queen is a newly designed casino. Very impressive and
worth a look. There's reason why they always offer the "loosest slots."

The Argosy (just across the river from St. Louis) is a good place to
play. Acceptable house edge and wide selection of machines.

We'd say check out the pay tables on the VP site for the games you like
to play. In the casinos, check the pay table before you start feeding
in money. There are many times you'll have 2 machines next to each
other offering what seems to be comparable VP, but a pay table may be a
clear indicator that one is preferred. Sometimes by a large margin.

Good Luck.

If you choose to visit the par-a-dice in PEORIA DO IT ON A FRIDAY
IN OCTOBER THEY HAD 5X POINTS ON THE FIRST 5,000
POINTS EARNED EACH FRIDAY. i THINK THEY HAVE THE
LEAST INVITING BUFFET IN IL. I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY FULL
PAY MACHINES.
