PAlms

I was at the palms today to get my new stations card. I was an all star, so I received Chairman. I was surprised to find that it is good until June. I was also told that for unknown reasons the system still shows me as gold, so I had to swipe to get 3x points.
I and another lady in the Promotions Line were curious about the new free Princess cruises. Naturally the palms Promo Booth attendants had no information. Does anyone? When **I **previously received a free cruise based on my play at Red Rock (I was at a much lower tier but put in some good play in a short period and received a offer directly from Stations), I asked about it at red rock and no one knew anything. I have friends who are at the presidential level and play all the time there and they have never received a cruise offer.

Meanwhile, I went to the Palms buffet for lunch and found it much improved, especially the salad area. There was also a burger made to order. Unfortunately the buffet no longer has the free wine or beer. But I was very glad to see the decreases in costs and the improvement in quality. I hope this continues. Right now the dinner buffet does not include crab legs.

Some of the machines still seem to have problems recognizing stations cards. You should get a new one from promotions. Naturally there is a long line at promotions because everyone is getting cards.

Also there is a separate mailing for the Palms and other Stations casinos, and you cannot pick up your free play from other stations casinos at the palms at this point.

I noticed there were some new machines around the property. Also the cashier cage is still giving markers based on your palms credit line, and does not know anything about switching over to stations.

I have some good news. When I played at a quarter ultimate X machine, I held one lonely queen, and got a three times Royal for $3000. It has been years since I have gotten the Royal holding just one card. I also seemed to be in a royal drought, so this was very welcome. (I am still waiting for dealt royal on a multi line machine – it has been at least 9 years since I had a five play dollar dealt Royal (at Palms) and I had a tremendous amount of multi line play since then.)
