I get very few offers from the Palms and only one (over a year ago)
was worthwhile. The rest are laughable. At the recommendation of
others, I have used Mickey Petkus and been pleased with her. The
last time I needed her to book a room, I emailed her
(Mickey.Petkus@palms.com) and the response was quick. She was
great. Other hosts I have used when she is away have been less than
helpful. The Palms is NOT big on service. When I was there in
December (to play, not stay), twice I played for over 3 hours and
never got offered a drink. I did notice the BJ players had a
cocktail server approx. every 15 minutes attending to their thirst.

I was suprised to receive my first decent mailed offer from the
Palms. 2 Free nights, small amounts of free play and food.
Actually a pretty good offer. I was wondering if any other
out of towners received this?
No return calls, vague answers, almost regret at comping anything.
Please take my word I know the process and dont ask for much.
I wont name anyone i have used in the past but I was wondering if
any "non-locals" have a similar experience or any advice. Either in
someone to contact or perhaps a different communication style. I
was quite lucky there in 2004 I often wonder if thats it. Made it to
Hall of Fame card so I can always count on good parking and 75% off
buffets.
Oh yeah, email. They never seem to answer that either. At least
the coffee breath isnt a factor here.
