On my last trip to LV this spring, it seemed that the VP at the Palms
has been changed, made worse, than when I was there two years ago.
Has anyone else noticed this, or was I looking in the wrong place for
the good machines?

On my last trip to LV this spring, it seemed that the VP at the
Palms

You are correct that Palms vp has suffered a degradation during the
past year, most notably in the removal of PE, 10/7/80 DB, and some
of the 10/6 DDB. However, things may not be so bad as first meets
the eye because Palms mgt. has also spent significant time
reconfiguring the slot floor layout so you may have missed some
machines, not because they're gone, but because they've been moved
elsewhere.
BTW, I continue to point out that Palms is not a good choice for the
serious vp player who is an out-of-towner. Locals get good
bounceback cash and various other regular offers that make Plals a
solid choice for their vp dollar (though they aren't so generous now
as they were). Non-locals get none of this, along with seriously
over-priced rooms, which makes Palms one of the worst choices in LV
for non-locals. However, if an accidental sighting of some
Hollywood celeb or the latest botox queen or lingerie models on tour
are the kind of things that float your boat rather than winning at
vp, then Palms is the place for you.
