This is, of course, the key to the whole thing. It's why good marketing of
the "product" is so important. The Palms name and reputation is what they are
selling, and it seems to be working amazingly well! The RJ article was, as
far as I know, the first notice to the general public about the existence of
these condos, and at least half (I was told 3/4) have already been reserved! Now
that the public is aware, the balance will most likely be sold fairly
quickly, even though the most desirable units have already been taken.
I love the George Maloof quote in the RJ article. He says, "Residents [of
the condo tower] will have full use of the Palms restaurants and other
amenities." Well, unless a person is barred from the property, ANYONE, no matter
where they reside, will have "full use" of those things! Why did he say that?
Just his way of further associating the condos to the Palms itself in the public
mind. In other words, more good marketing!

The stupid thing is that it will turn out to BE a good investment,
IF, and for the SOLE reason, that everybody THINKS it's a good
investment. The intrinsic value of a little studio condo in a high-

selling for.
