PALMS REBUILDING AFTER SHERMAN

I want to be the first one to report this good news. NSUDs are BACK at the
Palms. Confirmed by two reliable sources. Every machine hasn't been
checked yet but it looks like everything has been restored to as it was
before Sherman's march to the sea.

Reason? I don't have any official word but here are some guesses:

1. The drawings are over for the month and the little people got their
wish - the same people who flooded the electric drum didn't always win.

2. The drop dropped severely!!!!!

3. George Maloof heard about it and got so many complaints from the locals
that he decided he really needed advantage players for PR purposes.

4. Who knows???

Well, the little people got double entries for this promo, and onyl
$25K was being given away, so it shouldn't have been an issue here.
These drawings are ridiculously overplayed, BTW, which only makes the
original decision to pull the Deuces more ridiculous.

2. The drop dropped severely!!!!!

But the hold % should have increased. At least that's what a couple of
supervisors were telling me. My quick calculations showed a wash,
profit-wise.

3. George Maloof heard about it and got so many complaints from the

Actually, the more bets they take, the more the casino is worth. Net
profit is not the sole indicator of a casino's worth. But things are
really run randomly there. Then again, if I had as many distractions
as the Maloofs deal with (usually some chick whose last name is a
month), I'd be running that joint randomly myself.

My take is that there are too many players they'd like to deal to who
were angry over the downgrading of the machines. Enough to put up with
the three $25 players who probably had a good week which precipiated
this drama.

4. Who knows???
