While your hand is in the box, pinch the envelope. I think it is
possible to feel when one is thicker due to the 3 bills. I have
only done this 1 or 2 times, so I don't know if I have been lucky or
skillful. The good news is that this trick has no downside that is
obvious, since few if any prizes will be thicker unless they are
filled with 1$ bills.
I happen to know that there is always ONE envelope with $1000 (10 hundreds)
in it. Do you really want to eliminate your chance to get that one by feeling
for the thin envelopes?
