The current Palms drawings have three pages of rules, apparently
written by a paranoid slot promotions manager to "protect" them from
video poker players. Entries are based on points earned but vary by
machine type and denomination. There are five entry levels for video
poker machines and another five levels for slot machines. You are
limited to 500 entries per day and "NSUD, 100% and Full pay machines"
are excluded.
After playing a couple hours on a variety of machine types and
denominations, I decided to check to see how close I was to the
maximum 500 entries. I had played NSUD multigame machines with no
exclusion stickers and Full pay Jacks or Better on multigame machines
that said they were included and would earn entries at the slot
machine rate. I really had no idea how many entries I had earned, if
any. Swiping my card to activate my entries only revealed that I had
earned my one free daily entry for being there. The drawing
attendants essentially told me I might have entries based on how many
points I had earned. Perhaps the boothlings might know. At the
booth I was told that most of my points earned might earn entries.
After over $10k coin-in, even now after the drawing, I still have no
idea if I had more than my one free entry in the electronic drum.
Why does Gaming allow George to conduct such secretive non-
transparent promotions? Don't players have a right to know how many
entries they have earned and verify their inclusion?
