My experience may be a bit dated but it is that twenty-somethings are staying there. I would not be surprised if they are paying rack rate.
Several times I have had a room next to what sounded like a group of three or four twenty-somethings. Just when I am going to bed, they decide it is time to get dressed to go out around 10:30. Takes them about two hours to get ready and they talk the whole time. Leave around midnight. Then when I am waking up, here they come in around 6:00 a.m. Of course, there is not as much talking this time but sometimes have to re-count the events of the evening. Not a lot of fun for me and I am not so eager to stay there unless there is a good reason!!
I think the rooms at the Palms are becoming a bit worn and tired and I think much of it may be due to this crowd and the large number of people in a room.
