Palms, MGM, Wynn

Visiting LV this week and have a few questions -- I searched on "Old Palms Points" and there was a lot of discussion; is it still that you just have to get comp slips from certain (all?)kiosks? Can they be used for free play? Are they ever going to expire as long as you earn new points yearly?

MGM; thinking about getting back on their mailing list after many years away, (they used to be pretty good to us visitors) does anyone have any favorite plays at any MGM properties?; I will check VP2 - also play some BJ and they have decent games.

Wynn - anything interesting going on, looking at the database, looks like there are a lot fewer opportunities.

Anything else that would be of interest to a thrice yearly visitor playing 5x$1. to $5 is appreciated.

$5 denomination seems to be the lower limit to find 9/6 JOB at most MGM properties on the strip, at least according to VPfree2 and my own casual and incomplete examination of paytables. There is some 8/5 BP at lower denominations scattered around various properties.

I got my second Royal of the year on my last day inside a casino at Luxor a week or so ago. That was playing $1 triple play bonus on a multi-game machine just inside the high limit area. Didn't check to see what else was available there.

MGM seems to be at least trying recently not to drive away their customers. I've been getting an occasional free room offer at Bellagio and have even had a few slot tournament invites this year, which I was much too small a fish to rate in LV's boom years.
