I am staying at Palms right now.?I had a friend who was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame ---- which prompted the trip.
I don't play Jokers so can't comment.? However, from my perspective (coming from Green Bay WI) I think the Palms is poker heaven.? I would never have even been in the place except for Annie Adlin my friend from Minneapolis who is a devoted Palms player when she comes to town.
This place is awesome.? Room is great,?I like the little buttons in the room you can push for do not disturb ----- I travel a lot and?I always hated the signs you hang on the door knob, that people take (so you get awakened prematurely) or the cards aren't in the room and you have no other way to say "leave me alone"? I am just in a regular room, but huge bathroom and big deep soaking tub.? Beds just swallow you up they are so soft and comfortable.
At Palms, I like the 50 hand machines (call me crazy) but they have a bank here outside the food court that has 9/6 JOB which is great IMO.? Plus there is such a wide selection of all the games I like to play, it could be that I never leave the building the rest of my trip.
Annie showed me the quarter Deuces wild progressive last trip which I hit for both quad deuces AND the RF for $1,017.? Today when I arrived I went back to the exact same machine and in my first $40 hit the RF again for $1,073 so skated under the W2 G requirements.
I guess this is a mini, mid-trip report.??? All is well and I am ahead.? Played live poker tourney last night at Mirage with one of my sales reps who was in town and wanted to play in a smaller buy in event.? It was the Sunday night Poker Zone tourney at the Mirage.? Top 5 paid, he finished seventh
but i finished 3rd so it worked out well.? Well run tourney and a nice break from machines.
