Yes, four of the former eight are still there.

I checked all denoms of a bank of 4 uprights that I know used to have NSU, because I played on it once or twice - the west side (ie facing the table games) of a bank perpendicular to the registration desk. Perhaps these are the 4 that went “bye-bye” in the latest purge, as you put it..

I was not aware of an additional bank of 4 perpendicular to that one, which must mean parallel to the registration desk. Apologies if they are still there.

What the Palms is doing with their VP inventory should not be surprising. Everyone here should know what type of games a Station Casino will offer. They’ll likely have one bank of 100%+ optimum pay games, a few banks of 99.8% games, and the rest of the casino will be 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/5 Jacks, and 15/9 Ugly Ducks and shorter pay games at low denominations.

Without getting into specifics, those high return low theoretical games are often not the best play. You won’t generate marketing offers worth much of anything.

No need to worry about what level of mailer action on the 99.8 games will generate. As of Jul31 I couldn’t find any such games at Palms. I checked most but not ALL banks of VP. Optimum pay games still there.
