Palms food

We love Little Buddah, great fish, sushi (best in town, freshest) - but now
closed Mon. and Tues.

Nine has good food but horrible acoustics - very noisy because of high
ceilings.

Alize is a great French restaurant with fantastic view - recommended
highly! (and far better than Nine or Nove)

Nove Italian was good, but view couldn't be seen because of the way they
put the windows and tables in.

Simon - at the attached Palms Place - very good food, but can be noisy in
the evenings. We went for Sunday brunch - which is delicious if you like
sushi probably worthwhile - but very expensive if you don't eat a lot of
sushi or peel-eat-shrimp and a few other items. You pick items off menu plus
they have sushi (limited to a few types but very good) and a few other
items. Includes things like smoothies too. You can pick as many different
items off menu as well, and reorder them too. Lobster benedict was delicious.
But booze is extra; you can also pay some amount for unlimited bloody
marys or some other kind of liquor.

Gudarno's has good Mexican - but music is loudish from the casino.

The buffet has improved recently and has snow crab legs at dinner. Show
club card for discount, but buffet is a bit overpriced unless they are
having some sort of 1/2 price sale. Some of food is unidentifiable or not very
good, some is good, you just never know. They do have a gourmet coffee
machine and free wine with dinner.

Coffee shop - wasn't too great in the past, but they have added a Chinese
area in the back that includes dim sum - but the Chinese seems not so good
lately. I prefer to just go to the buffet.

-------
Across street is Gold Coast with lower priced buffet. No crab legs but
food is more consistent in quality. They also have Ping Pang Pong chinese
and Noodle Cafe chinese - popular with local Chinese community (personally I
don't think it is all that good - at least compared to Philadelphia and NYC
and other East Coast Chinese restaurants, unfortunately for my Chinese
tastebuds I live in Vegas now.)

Also a TGIF there. Cortez Room is very reasonably priced with good Prime
Rib for $15 and some other good items. Not gourmet, but for under $25 you
get a very nice, sit down meal. Don't order a liquor drink though - very
small for the price. Wine is okay though.
---------

Have fun at Palms and let us know if you got a fantasy suite for $20
upgrade!

Thank you for all the info. I am going to ask along with $40 for the fantasy suite although I do not expect to get it. I will definitely keep everyone updated. I wish I lived in Vegas.

Try for the salon suite. It's BEAUTIFUL! I get one every time.

Personally, I really enjoy the 24 hr cafe. Food good (alittle pricy,
but that's what points are for)

If you go to the nine, go when they open and you won't have the
problem with the noise.
