Palms Downgrades Mailers to 100%+ Players

Following the advice on this message board, I've been limiting my
play at the Palms to those days when I can maximize my coin-in.
I've played about $10K/day, once per week, for the last three
months. I quickly streaked past All-Star to MVP level, and feel I
won't play enough to climb any higher.

I've been very surprised that my mailers haven't improved. For
awhile I thought maybe there was a lag time. Then last week I
received a mailer congratulating me on attaining All-Star status
(which I actually did over two months ago) and awarding me a
whopping $15 bounceback three times in September. This was calendar
status S5-4, if that means anything to you...

I went to a boothling and asked whether this was the correct mailer,
given my play history. He looked on his computer, did a double-take
on my mailer, and said, "well I'm not sure what level mailer you're
supposed to get, but I can tell you for sure that this isn't
right." He promised to follow up with a supervisor and post a
message in my account on the computer so I could pick up the
appropriate mailer the next time I was in.

I stopped by the next day and asked a different boothling to check
my computer file so I could pick up the right mailer. She quickly
pulled up this message (quoting here): "Checked with supervisor and
determined that calendar status was appropriate due to exclusive
play on 100% machines."

I'm guilty as charged, playing exclusively on the $1 10/7 DB
progressive machines there. I thought I'd pass this along, but also
ask a question: since the message noted my "exclusive" play on 100%+
machines, would throwing a $20 bill into a slot machine (or even an
inferior video poker machine) help my calendar status? Or am I
screwed now that Palms has noted my playing habits? I'll still play
at the Palms, but this new information will definitely lower my
average daily play and probably my total play at Palms as well. (I
suspect I can retain S5-4 calendar status on MUCH less average daily
play.)

Any hints or tips on how to better my calendar status there would be
much appreciated.

Learn NSUD perfectly and play it. You will receive a higher mailer,
increasing your EV over 10/7 DB.

Barely. The most I've read about for palms mailers is .5-.6%

Thanks for your feedback, any thoughts on this other question? Would
minimal play on slots or inferior video poker machines make any
discernable difference in my mailers?

We have found it makes a "world of difference." We play NSUDs and get good mailers. We also found that it pays to play much bigger on fewer days. A little play every time you go in, even if the total adds up to the same coin-in, kills the mailer amounts. No, this doesn't make sense - but I think if you have any experience with casinos, things don't have to make sense. We, as wise players, learn to play by their rules, no matter how little sense they make!!!!
