Palms casino makes big NSU announcement/dealt deuces at GC

I received email today announcing "By popular demand - NSU Deuces return to
the Palms casino in our triple and five play machines."

Interesting - obviously they were inundated by complaints.

Also note - they are using the term NSU!

Finally - despite lots and lots of play on their triple/five play NSU deuces
over the last 4 years that I have lived in Las Vegas - I never was dealt
deuces on the bottom line. (Nor had I received dealt deuces on any other
multiplay games - but primarily I had played at the Palms)

But within the last month, while playing heavily at Coast casinos on their
2x days during drawings and such. I was dealt deuces on the bottom line of of
five-play at Orleans, and then twice on bottom line of five-play at Gold
Coast. These machines feature the ugly version of ducks - not NSU. Last
night I had an especially hot session at the Gold Coast on my new favorite
machine -- hit deuces 3 different times on single lines plus the dealt deuces on
the bottom during long 5 hour session where I just couldn't leave. I've won
on my new favorite 5play machine 4 out of 4 sessions (including 1 royal on 1
line). The Gold Coast machines go from five cents to $1 and are near rest
rooms near Ping Pang Pong. They feature the uglier deuces (75 for five of
kind, 45 for straight flush, 125 for wild royal, 20 for full house, 15 for
flush) and 9/6 DDB.

While the deuce schedule is obviously worse than NSU, all I can say is that
for me personally I'd rather play where I'm winning and getting 2x points for
cashback than where I am always losing and getting pretty much comps only.
9/6 DDB is the same schedule I was playing at the Palms.

Obviously future results could change - so this could be a short-term
abberation. Next month my favorite machine could be somewhere else entirely.
Still it does seem odd to me that I was never dealt deuces at the Palms with a
LOT more play than at GC.

Miss Craps.
This just sounds random to me. My worst results are at Fiesta Rancho, where the "most" full paytable games exist. And they have much of my play. But since I am losing, should I go play short pay deuces somewhere else? The more willing we are to play the short pay-tables the more willing casinos will be to put them in. WHY give your business to the lower paying game/casino?

Yes, a person can get lucky on anything but it seems counter-productive to play them. Frankly I think doing this would contribute to the destruction of the remaining games that exist. Although I guess if you are playing the short pay stuff that provides a seat for someone else. But I would prefer to see waiting lines for the good machines and NO ONE at all playing the "junk". I think the casinos would eventually get the message.

I agree totally, Ednar. The more informed players who patronize
casinos with rotten pay schedules, the more it encourages the other
casinos to follow suit.

Unless you truly feel that the machines are not "random" i.e. "rigged"
in some fashion (in which case you should AVOID PLAYING AT ALL) you
are always going to be better off playing FP machines. Any other
reasoning is based on superstition and nonsense.
