The five 25c FPDW by the main cashier at the Palms have
been replaced with Double Down Stud. A floor person said
they are gone for good, not just moved elsewhere in the
casino. She pointed out to me that the bank of 25c FPDW
progressives are still there by the front door.

Sounds like the purging is continuing at the Palms. Will they have
any 100% machines by year-end? Who wants to bet?

this could just be an inventory change. i'll bet you the palms will
have positive machines at year-end. i see no evidence of a plan to
downgrade the entire video poker inventory. the sky is not falling.

I did a count of the 100% machines @ the Palms on 11/15/04. The
total was 54. On my last visit, machines on that count had
disappeared. From what the original poster stated, it sounds as if
more machines have disappeared.
Maloof doesn't need the locals business anymore. Thus, bye bye bingo
and bye bye the fabulous collection of 100% VP. Plus, they gotta new
tower to pay for.
I would prefer to be wrong. But given the trend at the Palms, I
think the end of 100% VP there is inevitable.
