Palazzo / Venetian

At one time, there was discussion of being charged after stiffing
Venetion/Palazzo when going in on an offer. Does anyone have current
actual information on if this is the case? There is nothing on the
offer I received and I have booked 3 nites but plan on playing at Wynn
unless machine inventory changes before the 20th. Thanks.

if there might be a play requirement somewhere in the fine print
why not just put $5 into a machine and play a hand or two of VP

I recently inquired about this at the Venetian players club and was told
that if it was an unsolicited offer from the casino for a free stay
there was no risk of being charged for lack of play, but however there
may be a play requirement when a player requests a comped stay not
associated with a free casino offer.

Actually it was a Wynn host that recently told me of charging a guest
due to lack of play. Quite a squabble at checkout.

And a Caesars guest told me of the room still being comped but the
shopping spree revoked due to lack of play on that trip.

In this economy I don't take chances with casinos. It's your risk as
to whether you can "fly under the radar" with nobody watching. But
the conservative side of me says expect to pay if you don't play. If
you get lucky and your comped offer is still picked up, then good for
you. But it is a risk, not a given. That's why the fine print on
nearly every offer clearly says "subject to cancellation at any
time". Unless you have an understanding up front the ultimate
decision would then be whether the bank that issued the credit card
used at checkin would accept your dispute.

Well, that's not the ULTIMATE decision. Your next step would be Gaming, and
after that Small Claims Court. They can't revoke a mailed offer after you
show up.
