I was at Palace Station last night and found the bank of Optimum Play
uprights missing -- replaced by penny slots. A query directed at a
slot person elicited an unfavorable response: "they were taken off the
floor." She expressed concern about the anticipated backlash from
customers who frequented that bank. She also noted that after the
current remodeling is completed (by doors near valet), the bank may be
put back on the floor.

Possible, although it was also possible you were looking in the wrong
place. I was there at Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. collecting free play
and they were all there, but before I found them, I asked two different
floor people and they didn't know where they were. They are on the north
wall of the Broiler, immediately next to the blackjack pit.
