Palace Station - Food Coupon Warning!

Had an late lunch at the Coffee Shop yesterday with two other people. I had
my regular $15 July food coupon plus (+) an extra $25 food coupon as July is
my birthday month.

I did not re-read the fine print BUT I did present the two coupons to the
food server before we ordered. Of course, our total bill came to just $40.

In what I thought was the profunctory exchange of my coupons at the cashier
turned into a conflict. Only one coupon was acceptable as it states "may not
be used with any other promotion" and their interpretation was the other coupon
was another promotion. The other most disturbing item was that I could not
even use my "points" to pay the differential since they viewed the points as
part of some overall promotion.

Although I would have compromised and used my points, there was no way I was
going to come "out of my pocket" with cash monies to pay the remainder of the
bill. My strongest defense as I asked to see the manager is that I had
presented the coupon(s) to the server and she indicated they were good to go for our
order.

The manager never did come and they "let me go" with the two coupons but kept
saying that this was the new policy. I feel that the cashier personnel were
just throwing these tidbits out and especially not being able to use your
points if you exceed a coupon seems way off base.

Just putting this out there as a warning before you are asked to pay with
"real money".
