Out-of-towner advice

I’ve been going to the Atlantis and Peppermill in Reno for over a decade. The plane fares from San Antonio have skyrocketed, from $300-$400 when I started, and my last 2 trips cost me $700+ (for decent planes/connections/times). I can get to Las Vegas for a fraction of that amount. Though I sometimes play other games, my favorite is $1 single line NSUD, preferably barters, but slants are OK. I have checked vpFree 2 and found a few locals casinos that sound promising, but I can’t assess which ones, if any, are good to out-of-towners - free rooms and meals, primarily. Best bets appear to be South Point, Green Valley, Rainbow and Eureka. Would any of these (or others in LV) parallel the Reno experience?

I went to Reno myself a few weeks ago. Rainbow Club in Henderson is owned by the Peppermill. It has the TV’s on the wall, but not as decorated as the Peppermill. Rainbow has lots of $1 NSUD. It can get a little smoky due to the low ceiling. Rainbow does not have a hotel and only 1 restaurant. I do get very good offers from the Peppermill and I’m guessing that the marketing departments talk to each other.

I would like to play more at the Atlantis as they have some decent games too. I do get free hotel and room offers, but nothing on par with the Peppermill.

South Point is nice with no shortage of NSUD. Never stayed in the hotel. GVR is really nice and reminds me a little of the Peppermill. Not as much in the way of NSUD as the South Point. Eureka is really not in the best part of town. I think I was in there once about 15 years ago. Plenty of other choices.

You should try the Wendover area. The Peppermill in Reno owns 3 casinos in Wendover and all the info is on Wendoverfun.com. Been going there for years and really enjoy the area.

just about all of the station casinos have that game (NSU Dueces) and other full pay and also 100% games for $1

Just did my first visit to Green Valley Ranch a couple of weeks ago. I was very favorably impressed across the board. One night’s room plus light food comped on $20k play (steered clear of the 100% banks, instead playing $1 NSUD and 9/6 JB).
