Hello vpfriends,
My husband and I are thinking of driving to Tunica mid July and I have so many questions for you. I used to be a Diamond cardholder but haven't played in a little over two years since having my kids. We have 2 free nights at the Fitz (which kinda sucks b/c my 2 yo can't use the pool!). Is the vpfree database currently correct for that property? I am gonna try for diamond in a day at the Roadhouse. Is the vpfree database up to date for the Roadhouse? I am hoping to spend no more than 9 hours playing $ not so ugly deuces wild. I spoke to TR on the phone and am not satisfied that the person I spoke with knew what they were talking about. I intend to call back, but I thought that one of you might be able to enlighten me. I am hoping that to reach Diamond in a day from my current Gold status of 0 base credits that I need to earn 3,000 base credits in a 24 hour period, or $30,000 coin in on vp. Is that correct? Is the "day" at the Roadhouse 6:00 am - 6:00 am? Will I be issued an actual Diamond card that is good until next march or some sort of temporary one for a few days until I reach the 11,000 base credits needed?
I have been in the Diamond lounge at the Horseshoe and thought it was very nice but can't recall if they serve food like in AC or just cheese and crackers? Is the lounge at Harrah's any better or worse?
I have read that the rooms at the Horseshoe are very nice. In pricing rooms at the Terrace vs the "standard room" at the Horseshoe, the horseshoe is about 20$ more midweek. Hubbie wants to stay at the terrace for "nostalgia." What is your opinion on the difference? I know my 2 and 1/2 year old would have the lobby and outdoor area at the terrace to frolic, plus the pool seems nicer, but we would have to take the shuttle to get to an actual restaurant. The website makes a point of telling you how far a Horseshoe standard room is from the elevator. That worries me with 2 kids in tow.
Lastly, are there any playgrounds in Tunica? I have no shame about "sneaking" on to hotel property to use a playground. I wouldn't sneak into a pool, but a playground is different.
Thank you in advance
