Subject: XVP - Mandalay Bay "complimentary" nights offer / One Club question

I received a mailer for two free room nights and $100 in food credit
from Mandalay Bay, presumably based on $20K+ in one day I put through
at Circus Circus months and months ago. The fine print states
"Complimentary room nights deducted from One Club account."

Does this mean Mandalay will deduct casino rate or somesuch from my
One Club comp balance for both nights of my "complimentary" stay?
What if there isn't any balance in my comp account? I've read about
other One Club properties (Edgewater Laughlin) putting peoples' comp
balances into the negative under certain circumstances, meaning that
your comp balance continues to indicate zero until you've played
enough to, uh, un-overcomp yourself.

Wow, you got some fine print to read! So how far are you into the black on
your comp account? You can check on-line at myoneclub.com to get your cb and
banked comp amounts. MGM/Mirage is going to eventually mess around with the
One Card sometime. Maybe this is the time to get some value?

EW first really got my attention Jan 2004 when I used a "comped" 4 night
birthday offer...el draino of my comps, no fine print.

I get about .1% rate in comps in Laughlin on casual play. Here are this
year's snapshots playing at EW/CB:

Date Points Comp $
1/12 845 28

used two night May offer/no comp hit/$6k play

6/3 1467 34

used two night June offer/drained account

6/14 2039 0
7/1 2281 0

mysterious reappearance of some, but not all comp money after cahing in 2200
points

7/15 81 26
10/1 144 26
12/3 262 28

YMMV, Laughlin is .25% cb and $10/point

BS
