OT Speeding

Personally, I like to keep 1/4 mile behind the fastest car around. If
my Hyundai Accent can keep up that is. If I am side by side with
another car, the cop will pull over the nicer car. This saved me
several times i know about. Cops don't believe a Hyundai going 90.

Or you could buy some kind of stealth system that include
detector-detector protection, hide it in the dash to look like
something else, say a stereo with equalization, ... a rear view
mirror replacement, ...

dipy911

BTW: Speed limits around me are 70MPH + 10 MPH cushion. zoom-zoom.

90 is pretty easy to get away with as long as you are smart about it. The trip from Vegas to Reno is about 440 miles. If you average 90, that gets you there in 5 hours. Add in 10 minutes or less for a gas stop in Tonopah and you can easily make it in under 5.5 hours.

As for stealth systems such as radar and laser jammers, most don't work and I wouldn't want to get caught with one that does - I believe it's a Federal crime. No need to hide the detector from the cops here in Nevada, they're legal in our state. I think there are only two or three states in the Union where a radar detector is illegal. Also, they are illegal on all military bases.

IT is best to observe the speed limit. Speeding puts many in danger around you, wastes fuel, pollutes more. If you want to get somewhere more quickly use the airlines. If locally plan your trip more carefully to avoid wastung time but in any event be safe and keep within the limit if you choose to drive.

Dear mom,

Left-lane vigilantes (purposefully driving speed limit or less in
passing lane) also cause a lot of accidents. Let the cops worry
about us.

"I observe what the speed limit is, so I know what I need to slow down
to if I see a cop.
Speeding doesn't endanger anyone, it's the people moving slower than
you that are putting you in danger." co-worker (minimum speed limit!)

Lets see:
A) Airport
1. arrive 2 hours early for strip search
2. lost luggage
3. other people who don't shower
4. sardines in a little box
5. pay for parking when you return
6. pay multiple 100's for trip.

B) Car
1. no strip search (unless cop pulls you over and suspects drugs)
2. pay for gas
3. car is available for use at new destination
4. only must avoid left-lane vigilantes

Take 3 days, instead of 3 hours. No thanks! LOL.
