My husband and I are looking for a small, non-intimidating poker room
in Las Vegas where first-time players won't feel too out-of-place. Any
suggesions appreciated!

........
Seriously. The Luxor has free lessons in Limit Holdem followed by a 1/2$
game. 9am and 2pm daily.

Stay clear of the Imperial Palace free lessons. When they convert to a
friendly 2/4$ game the people with sunglasses and chip tricks [signals to
teammates] show up to join in.
