My girlfriend and I had dinner at Fuego's Steakhouse at Fiesta
Henderson this evening. We were talking to our waiter, Marc Barone,
and he happened to mention that he worked in New York City at one
time. We talked more about New York and he mentioned that he had
written a book much of which takes place in New York. The book is a
homage to his mother and is called "Italian Mothers Never Die; They
Just Get Louder from the Other Side." He's having a book signing at
the Cancun Room at Fiesta Henderson on August 14th from 6pm - 9pm if
anyone's interested. Those on Fiesta's mailing list will get a notice
about it. Tea/coffee and cookies will be served. He reads an excerpt
on the publisher's website at www.outskirtspress.com/italianmothers.
The book is currently available on Amazon and the major bookstores.
