I took a trip with my Mom to LVH last fall and my Mom, a pretty heavy BJ
player, decided to hit the 6/5 games in the Spacequest (which have since been
removed). I tried to tell her the folly of her ways, she was simply
reinforcing the decision of the casino to offers these games, etc. Her indignant
response was "We'll, I don't usually hit that many blackjacks anyway"!
Of course she then proceded to take several hundred from then in a long
session........

Well in Laughlin, the 6/5 nonsense spread from the one dollar single deck
game at Colorado Belle to about half the tables at CB/EW. The River Palms had it
on their single deck too. Harrahs joined in. Flamingo/PPE was the original
instigator.
You still could play decent BJ at the Pioneer, Golden Nugget and the
Riverside.
Of course conditions change from trip to trip. What is weird is the
proprietary side bet games still were 3/2, like the $2 game at EW with the sidebet for
a BJ.
