Orleans Players Club...

I was in the Orleans today and noticed signs about a new players club.
When I got home I got a letter from them saying that they will now be
going to a COIN-IN system starting October 29.

Dear Player,

It is my pleasure to announce exciting news for Club Coast members.
Recently, valued customers of The Orleans, such as you, have suggested
that we change our current system that rewards points only for winning
hands or jackpots. We want you to know that we listened! Club Coast is
changing from coin-out to coin-in.

Starting Monday, October 29th, every dollar of coin-in you play ... not
win... will earn one point. From that date forward - $1 of coin-in
played = 1 point*. Under the new Rewards Program, you can redeem 1,000
Points for $1 in cash back or comps.

Don't worry! The dollar value of your cuttent point base will remain
the same. For example, if you currently have 25,000 points worth $75 in
cash back or comps, after the new system is introduced, your points will
be increased to 75,000, which will be worth the same $75 in cash back or
comps. Your point balance will be ajdusted to triple the current amount
by the end of the day on October 29th.

To celebrate this important change and get you off to a great start, we
will enhance your fun and earning power by rewarding you with THREE
POINTS for every dollar of coin-in played until January 14, 2008.
That's right, we'll give you triple points!

The improvements being made at Club Coast this year will set the stage
for a whole new wave of player benefits that will take place in 2008.

Thank you for being such a valued Club Coast member at The Orleans
Hotel& Casino. It is always a privilege and pleasure for the Orleans
teama to serve you.

Sincerely,

Anthony Taeubel

Am I reading that right or did Coast just cut cashback by 2/3?

The letter about the cut in CB came to us from the Gold Coast. Has anyone got news of this about Suncoast or Orleans - either that it is happening this month or will in the future???

Yes, we got similar letters from the Suncoast today. What a joke!

My letter came from The Orleans today. At the bottom there was also
another statement I haven't seen mentioned yet.

"*May vary depending on model of gaming device." This was in reference
to "$1 of coin-in played = 1 point*"

Are they possibly planning on doing what Stations does -- requiring $2
per point on positive games?

about a month and a half ago i was told the following:
Sam's Town is going to join together with the Coast Casinos using one
players card. The current change fits. Sam's is a #1 a point system.
The little note at the bottom of the Coast letters could very well mean
they are all going to Sam,s Town,s System. If so there will be a
dramatic change in the mail offers. I mnean really dramatic.
