I am elated to report that the Orleans has three (3) $25 cash coupons for
their minimum 10,000 base points per month.
They also threw in the normal $25 restuarant and two tickets to one of their
shows.
I have been monitoring this over the past six months where it looks like two
(2) $25 coupons had become routine. It may be the January lull that prompted
them to go to $75.
If you play on their 2x point days (Jan 1st and Jan 19th) you will be getting
0.50 % cashback and hopefully with the $50 or better the $75 in coupons, you
are playing at a cashback rate of 1% and 1.25% respectively. Although there
are no positive games, with a 1% cashback, you can find some borderline games
to play.
The other bargain for those of you that like to stock a reasonable bar is
their liquor store near the escalator going to the movies. Their prices are rock
bottom and they are one of the Coast properties that do not charge tax (sales
or added liquor tax) if you are using your points.
Purchases , of course, are at a $10 = $12 ratio so you're maximixing 20%
there plus no tax.
I know many of the members "took it personal" when the Coast eliminated their
FPDW and DB games. Many vowed never to grace their properties again. IMHO,
there is no better way to hurt a casino's profits then to play the base
minimum to qualify for their promos and not a cent more.
Happy New Year out there! Ante Roz
