Orleans & Gold Coast mailers/promotions

Orleans uses a "coin out" system to give you points.

But it uses "coin in" to determine how much you will get in mailers.

Generally at Orleans if you put in $10,000 in one month, 2 months later you
will get three $25 'instant credits' for 3 weeks, one $25 food, and one coupon
for show tickets. Occasionally you may get a separate "extra" mailer for
$25 food plus $25 credits. Sometimes you may get a special 2 tickets for
something at the Orleans arena, such as Disney on Ice, or another show.

For the $60,000 through in one month, you'll get three coupons for $50 each
plus one "free dinner' at Prime Loft or Canal Street. This meal includes
appetizer, main course, desert, bottle of wine (or 2 rounds of drinks). Again,
you may also get an occasional extra mailer for $50 or shows, etc.

For Gold Coast - $10,000 gets you 3 $25 weeks of credit play, plus one $25
food voucher, plus in general 2 tickets for Forever Plaid (or the like).
Sometimes you can choose either the show or an extra $25 in play. You also get 1
free cone or Sunday from the ice cream parlor. Lately they've also been
sending an extra mailer for $25 food plus $25 free credit.

For $60,000 you get 3 $50 weeks of credit, 2 tickets to Forever Plaid, plus
Free meal for Arrivia (Italian) which includes all the courses and a bottle
of wine (or 2 rounds of drinks). And the extra mailer will be $50 food plus
$50 free credit.

Occasionally mailers may differ, for example sometimes GC mailers may
include a show at the Orleans. At times the mailers may only have 2 money coupons
but at other times they could have 4! But generally speaking in recent
months they have been as above.

These mailers only go out to Vegas locals!

Non-Vegas locals may get even better offers, especially at Orleans, for
items such as rooms, free food, cash, etc. I have friends who were able to book
full RFB plus rooms when they stayed at Orleans (primarily quarter players).

Good locales can also contact hosts and may be able to get the occasional
room or discretionary comp. We've been generally able to get a discretionary
$50 food comp from GC host (Nicole or other) for about every $20,000 of coin
in. She can even send a comp over to the Orleans (we didn't ask about Barbary
Coast).

However when I asked about discretionary comps at the Orleans, I was told
several times you needed to play $60,000 through in one month to get a
discretionary comp. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me - why would Orleans,
which is further from the strip, require more play than GC? Also why not the
same as GC? And why can my $20,000 play at GC get me a $50 comp called over to
Orleans, but my Orleans play of the same (or greater) can't get me a Orleans
comp??? Perhaps now that Boyd has taken over, things are different, but I
stopped asking. Also it is hard to find a host at the Orleans.

Meanwhile, mailers for similar play at Barbary Coast are very rare and
smaller.

Recently Orleans has started adding some tournaments and special 777
drawings. It seems that you may need to be a "jackpot" winner to be invited, or
have some other criterion. For most, husband and wife can only have 1 entry
(but not always - ask).

Now that the Stardust is gone, the Orleans is trying to pull some Stardust
players over, and therefore may be increasing some events such as slot
tournaments and giveaways
