Orleans FPDW - what were they changed to?

It is important, in my opinion, that we continue to cash coupons, accept

room offers, etc but not play there. There are other places with 10/7,
including GC (which is, so far, keeping its FPDW).

Bill

Play them at GC while you can. Why would anyone think they would be the
only Coast casino to keep them? Surely, not because of the Palms.
Orleans is practically as close.

Scot

Scot: I hate to disagree , but I will. I indeed believe that the Palms will keep FP at the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is far enough away from the Orleans that the Orleans exists. Why would they build the Orleans if they thought it would compete with the GC. The palms on the other hand is right across the street and so is the Rio. Why would someone go to the Gold Coast unless it had something to offer?
The one thing I have learned about Las Vegas locals is that they consider a drive of more than 5 minutes to be the equivalent of me flying in from Canada.

A.P.

I agree A.P. If Gold Coast pulls the plug on the FPDW you can put a fork in
them, they're done. Gold Coast also has FPPE and triple play 10/7 DB which
keeps it competitive with the Palms. RIO just depends on tourists with
HARRAHS points from all over the rest of the country.

I feel very strongly the GC will join the GOODBYE FPDW march of Coast
Casinos. When they go to the one card system for all thier casinos it
would be foolhardy to have one casino left to be raided by advantage
players. Remember this new system will include what they feel is a
hignly upgraded Cashback. Also the points will be able to used at ANY
of their casinos. So play at GC, Get A mailers, Eat at say Primos or
Micheals, etc. Sounds grat and I would love it, but it seems like
TRUELY wishful thinking!!!!! They will continue with their one casino
at time policy and GC is next with BC probably to follow. The only
question is BC, but with the Frontier dumping their FPDW it seems to me
BC will also join the no FPDW pack.

Only time well for sure but "me thinks" it's only speculation that the new
card system will include "highly upgraded cashback". I mean, how high can
they go? Certainly, another .25% is not going to come close to off setting
the loss of FPDW and the installation of a negative return game with one of
the highest volatilities available. The Coasts have never had exactly the
same inventory and in fact the changes made at the Suncoast and Orleans
resulted in different inventories with different ER/volatilities. On the
other hand, I hope you are correct. I think the trifecta would result in
the Coasts screwing the pooch so badly that the bottom line would fall
victim to some serious hemorrhaging. As long as the Palms and
Stations/Fiesta holds the line, Coast is toast.

I never said that the upgraded cashback would offset the loss to FPDW
to the player. After speaking to various Coast people they were
excited about the new cashback and felt it was a major upgrade. The
feelings of a major upgrade and sophisticated players may turn out to
be quite different.
As far as the different inventory at CS, Orleans, and GC that is true
except the dumping of FPDW and $1 and $2 double bonus was NOT a
property decision. They had no idea it was coming until the order came
from the corporate office, i.e MICHAEL VAUGHAN. This decision is
completely out of the CG managers and the one card system to me spell
the death-Nell for FPDW at all their properties. It's all about the
mailers and cashback and about 80-90 players they DON'T want!!!!! One
dept manager who was off the 2 days before the change didn't even know
they were gone until I told him the Multi denon machines in front of
Terribles had been changed. He was upset and hoped it was not going to
be widespread. I later learned from someone else that all FPDW would
all be gone the next day. I cashed out got my cashback and haven't
played there since.

Brendan Gaughan, Michaels' son is a NASCAR racer, driving in the Busch
Grand National Series. I think he needs some financial help to move up to
Winston Cup. Lets all pony up to those Triple Deuces machines and do our
part.

NOT.
