Optimums/Now DDJ and Barbaric Deuces

But what about Barbaric Deuces? I can't recall much discussion about this

wild card version. I might need something to play now that the Jacks have
vanished. I am leery to play these with the dealt deuces part of the paytable,
which Winpoker cannot handle.<<

You can use WinPoker to practice--simply set the pay table on the Bonus Deuces game to match that on the machine, disregarding the no-brainer deals. You have no control over what you're dealt, so the added bonus for trip deuces or four deuces on the deal is just "pennies from heaven". There's no strategy, except prayer, to get you 3 or 4 dealt deuces. I haven't been there in a while, but last time I checked the pay table was the same for Bonus Deuces as Barbaric--except there were No Bonuses paid for dealt deuces in Bonus Deuces (ironic, huh). By the way, if you're dealt four deuces and an Ace there's an 8000 coin bonus plus 2000 coins for the Ace& 4 Deuces (hold all cards), four dealt deuces and no Ace you get a 1500 coin bonus plus either 1000 or 2000 more coins after the draw (depending on whether or not you draw an Ace). Dealt trip deuces and you get a 15 coin bonus--assuming, of course, a 5-coin max bet in each case.

Here's the Pay Table:

5-Coins: 5-5-15-20-20-50-100-200-400-125-1000-2000-4000

ER: 99.86% (Plus the dealt deuces bonuses when you're sitting on a horseshoe, multiple points and all other promos, BB and CB, entries and so on.)

Note that this pays more for fivers--50 instead of 45--than the WinPoker reset.

GN is very smart to leave this alone because they're making $$--you'll understand if you watch people play. Pros wouldn't touch this because there are so few and it's quarters.

Make sure you practice on WinPoker before playing--in my opinion, everybody should have WinPoker and practice at home. www.videopokerpractice.com
