Our new video poker analyzer/trainer program, Optimum Video Poker (formerly called Precision Video Poker) is about ready for beta test. I have enough Macintosh testers, but I need one or two more testers for the Windows version. If you are interested, here are the requirements:
* Must live in the Las Vegas area
* Must have a laptop PC with Windows 95b or later
* Must have Zip disk drive or floppy disk drive
* Must be willing to bring the computer to my house occasionally and work with me to test any bug fixes
* Must be willing to sign a nondisclosure agreement
* Programming experience would be a plus, but not required
If you are interested, please contact me. If you become a tester, you will receive each new beta release for your testing and report, and you will receive a complimentary copy of commercial release 1.0 when it's ready.
We expect to release 1.0 in September or October. Besides providing the expected analysis and trainer functions, OpVP will include the following features:
* Very fast game analysis (less than one second on the newer PCs)
* Easy entry of a hand for analysis
* Easy changing of just one or more cards for hand analysis
* Easy editing of game payoffs
* Large game window
* All game functions from either the mouse or keyboard
* Hint and auto hint features
* Speed, color, and other preferences for each player
* Error tolerance preference for each player
* Many bankroll calculations, including Variance, Attractiveness Quotient, plot of Standard Deviation curves, Risk of Ruin by the Sorokin formula, and Poisson Distribution for probability of royals
* Fully functional on both Macintosh and Windows platforms
