True, which means that the custom of having players bet their tokes
may well be good for the dealers. But it brings up another problem.
The belief that the dealer's appreciation is connected to the random
dealing of the cards is mistaken. People are stupid enough to begin
with, so I'm hesitant to applaud the spread of beliefs that make them
stupider.

I dont play much blackjack any more. Usually just a little bit in Vegas. Its hard to find a table for under $10 in Atlantic City.
But I like betting for the dealer because if I win the dealer gets twice as much than if I just tossed him the chip.
I dont think they can do it as much now, with those sneak a peek machine's they have, but if I had a tip for the dealer with my bet, sometime's I got some extra help playing the hand. <g>
