Within the past day or two, there appears to be a format change
in vpFREE. I assume this is true for everybody and not just me as I did
nothing to change my email that I'm aware of.

I was trying to copy one paragraph of a post, prefix it with
"xxxxxx said:", and then respond to what was said. Under the new vpFREE
system, I was unable to highlight just one paragraph in the message.

Assuming this isn't an abberation I brought on myself, I now
find it difficult to comply with the "quote" part of your IQDB
(Identify, Quote, Delete, Brighten Up) rules/suggestions. Any
suggestions?

Highlighting and cutting seems to still work for me.

I've noticed some change in "the past day or two", although I browse
the messages online rather than download them to email. For example,
paragraphs now appear to lead off with a <tab> character, rather than
a series of spaces.

I can only assume that whatever the extent of the changes, they are
interfering with your normal "block and copy". (I presume from your
post that this isn't a problem with other email text. btw, knowing
what email program you use might allow others to more knowledgably
comment on whether they now experience this problem with group messages.)

What I'll offer up is that in other situations where I've encountered
this problem (a single click and hold automatically blocked all
message text), clicking twice in quick succession and holding the
button on the second click allowed me to block text in the standard
fashion. FWIW.

I think I have solved the problem --- thanx to a little help

JTs suggestion of going to Yahoo Groups and then "Edit
Membership", and then change from "New Improved" format to "Traditional"
appears to have solved the problem.

I use Microsoft Outlook (per Harry's question). Surely others of
you will notice this problem shortly when you try to respond to posts.
