There is always the possibility in online gambling that you will be cheated
or more likely simply not get paid.
Not to overstate the obvious but getting cheated live is a real
problem. There have been examples in the past in Video Poker. There
are lots of Black Jack examples. There are known poker examples.
Getting cheated is not unique to playing online.
Not getting paid is more of a unique problem to gambling online
(although not entirely, I remember playing in one CA card room where
you really didn't want to be at the end of the cage line at the end of
the night). There have been poker examples (Dutch Boyd's scam) and
sports examples. I know of one poker site that refused to pay a
player due to an irregularity without telling that player what the
irregularity was. I believe its probably fairly easy to see these
things coming and stay away from the dicier situations thus reducing
your chances of not getting paid to a fairly small percentage.

The term "online live poker" gave me pause. Is it live or memorex 
I've played a lot of hands online and have a winning record which is
easy to match up to my live game play. I'm certain I've faced
collusion. But I've also seen it in a live game. So instead of
making a hard and fast decision that "they must be cheating" its
better to understand the issues relative to your other opportunities
and pick the one that gives you the best return.
