One of our own made the GN newsletter

Normally, I just let my casino mail pile up in a corner & don't look at it
until I'm ready to start planning a trip. For some reason, I was drawn to the
Golden Nugget, Las Vegas newsletter even though I hadn't stayed or played
there for a year.

On the back page of Tournament Winners was our very own Sylvia Gosline who
took first place in the VISA & PASSPORT TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS.

Her picture is in the upper right panel.

She has the look of a satisfied winner who already has enough friends!

Thanks Glen, Unfortunately my luck has not been as good in the final
$100,000 tournament going on right now. My 2 scores from yesterday were
very average. I have one more round today but it would take a miracle to
place in the top ten. Wish me luck.

Sylvia

Just curious, is this a VP tournament?

No, this was a slot tournament. I guess miracles do happen because I ended
up in 6th place after a great 3rd round score. The money for 6th was miles
away from the top prize of $100,000 but it was still a very nice surprise.
If you ever get a chance to participate in a Golden Nugget tournament then I
encourage you to do it. They put on a very nice event with nice gifts and
great food. They have fee tournaments as well as invitationals.

Sylvia (for some reason my handle of Sly Ness is now showing up on my posts
in spite of the fact that I registered that name months ago. Yahoogroups
moves in mysterious ways)
