One night stay in Laughlin

Hello to all laughlin regulars,

My husband & I will be in Laughlin for ONE night only, on
March 12th, during a 2 week stay in Arizona.

Would you suggest the EW or the CB for us? I mostly enjoy
DDB, DDJ & FP Wildgames. My husband plays only Deuces. We
run though at least $8K daily.

Which hotel has the best rooms/restaurants?

Thanks for your help!

Babe

Just returned from Laughlin (TR to follow sometime this week)and stayed at
EW. Rooms are basic. 48" shower with seat, but no tub. I considered it a
product similar in quality to several downtown LV hotels I have stayed at.
Our room (Sedona Tower) had a nice view of what was left of the river. I
guess by CB you mean the Belle? They are right next door to each other and
use the same (One Club) card. It's very easy to walk from one to the other.
There is a buttload of FPDW at the EW and DB... Also some fast metered
progressive NSUD triple plays that were tragically (for me) compelling. I
don't play joker games or DDB unless it's 10/6 and didn't notice that bit of
inventory. EW coffee shop was average and Hickory Pit was good: Opinions
based on a single visit each. It's hard for me to give an accurate read on
the comp situation. My circumstances were peculiar in that they zapped a
bunch of my comp points due to the promotion I was using. Without the
helpful information on this forum that would have been entirely unexpected
and I would have been sorely disappointed. Luck to you Babe!

hmmm, the CB or EW? I think you will find playable games for both of
you at either place. The deuces are better at the EW, and some of
your list will be found only at the Belle. You will find DDJ, and I
believe I have seen some jokers wild (not my game) at the Belle, but
not the EW. You will find a better restaurant selection at the
Colorado Belle. What is most important on your list? Like Chandler
mentioned, they are next to each other. You might also consider the
River Palms. Lots of good VP with FPDW, but no DDJ. In my opinion,
the rooms are nicer at the RP than either the Edgewater or Colorado
Belle.

Hey, Chandler- I look forward to your trip report. So, those triple
play machines on the end of the bar at the EW captured your
attention? They get me every trip also. I am way behind on those, but
I keep coming back.

I would agree with Ham. RP has a very good selection of FPDW upstairs,
and a good selection of quarter and dollar downstairs at Winners
Wharf. RP rooms are decent, the coffee shop is good, and the buffet is
improving. Never tried the Italian restaurant or the Lodge
(steakhouse) at RP. RP has/had a non-smoking area under construction
in late November; not sure if it's open yet.

Nicest rooms in Laughlin are probably at Harrah's, but the casino has
bad VP and the same on slots, though half the casino is non-smoking.
Unsure about table games there. Harrah's has a good breakfast buffet.

It was fun playing a good multiplay progressive, but it was pretty brutal
without a single session win. On the third day the guy one machine over
popped both the bottom and top line royal in the space of a half hour.
