One Coin Royals

This may seem like a silly question, but are one coin "Royals"
always 250 coins payouts? I am aking this since in my limited
experience I do not remember seeing anything else. I have seen
the "Tunica Video Poker Pay Table Reference" booklet and a few other
sources that show EV based upon 800 coins for a Royal. Is the
purpose simply to make it one fifth of a 4000 coin Royal? I the
believe the final EV is usually stated with an assumption of a 5 coin
bet. Is there a standard estimation for adjusting the EV for only a
one coin bet?

  At Sam's Town at the bar close to the main cashier there are lot of
JoB 1 dollar machines ( 8 coins to get the progressive ). But for 7
or less coins in Royal Flush is 500 times .

800 is the ratio of coin-out to coin-in for a full pay royal, it is
independent of actual bet and thus the calculated ev, variance and
R(1) are also independent of actual bet

to convert to actual dollars, multiply by actual dollars bet per hand,
for example for 5 coin quarters full pay deuces:

royal pays 800 x $.25 x 5 = $1000
ev/hand = .0076 x $.25 x 5 = $.01/hand
standard deviation = $.25 x 5 x sqrt(25.83 x hands) (for hands>50,000)
risk of ruin = 0.999347^($bankroll/($.25 x 5))

on many but not all games you only get full pay for max coins bet,
less than max coins paytables are shorted, i.e. only 250 for a royal
instead of 800, it's one of many tricks the casinos use to get your
money
