One Club comp rate...just for fun

I am not a fan of the One Club way of doing business. I, and others, are
waiting for MGM/Mirage the new owners, to integrate the One Club into the main
stream card. I don't even have one yet.

The One Club is Edgewater and Colorado Belle in Laughlin. The rate for years
for the card has been .25% cb/ and about .1% in comps playing good VP. At
10/point this means 400 points gets $10 cb. Actually over the years this rate
has moved up relatively in Laughlin, without changing.

Anyway, you can check on-line at myoneclub.com . I have lately. I just
dabble now playing a bartop or two in Laughlin after Mandalay drained my comp
account in Jan/2004 for a suppossed straight-up Birthday room comp.

But let's get to the point. My comp account has been stuck. It looks like I
now get 0% comp rate. Here are some inflection points:

3/19 515 points/ $15 comps
4/6 526 / $15
5/8 628 /$15
6/10 676 /$15 still in comps.

Not that big a deal, but has anyone else noticed a slowdown in the comp rate
for their One Club play?

Don't wait for it to happen anytime soon. First off, the only reason
MGM Mirage still has Edgewater, Colorado Belle, Slots A Fun, Circus,
etc. is that they can't sell them off. Do you think they want the Jean
market locked up when they have Primm?

These are for the most part, all lower end properties. The only ones
that probably would be worthy of the silver card would be Mandalay,
and maybe Gold Strike in Tunica (not because it's so wonderful, but
because of strong connection with the Chicago market).

One Club isn't so bad. There are worse programs, believe me.

I've had recent play at Gold Strike in Tunica (also on one of their
bartops) and MyOneClub comps have increased but only at a level of
about 0.1%.

Have not noticed anything with the comps. I probably play more. I
did notice one thing funny. I went over to Colorado Belle and my
one club card showed a little less than half the points I had at
Edgewater. Concern over this took me back to Edgewater and to find
out what was going on. Edgewater said it must have been I had an old
card and they printed me a new one. My points were fine there.
