On New Year's Eve at the T.I. I salvaged a bit of a losing trip by
winning $500 at the 1-100 coin 9/7 Double Bonus near the slot club.
The 10-play 9/6 Jacks by the high limit had been a disaster (got one
of those "cold spells" we all hate).
As I prepared to grab a drink (in plastic, of course) and head outside
for the fireworks I heard the familiar "jackpot" music coming from a
machine nearby. When I got to the winner and her machine I had to look
twice at the "HOLD" underneath all five of the cards.
I then realized the woman had been dealt a royal.
Know it happens, but sure never saw it in person before. Great way to
ring in the new year. Know of a lady that had four to it on the bottom
of a 50-play, a long pause and stare, hit the draw button and still
didn't get a single one.
