I played quarter Pick'Em again Thursday and finally hit a quad on the
91st three-of--kind dealt to me since I started to keep a record
three weeks ago. It was probably more than that since I didn't keep
track of the stats on a couple of visits before that.
The weird part was that I should have lost a lot more during that
span, but I seemed to get an unusual amout of FHs, FLs, and STs
during that time. Randomness can be unexplainably strange at times.
Thursday, the bar prog was at $5,000 so I played for a while and hit
a quad and a straight flush, then quit ahead. 30 minutes later,
someone hit it and it was back to $4,000. Hitting the one and only
card that you need (like my hitting the 8 of diamonds for the SF)is
the same as hitting the one card that you need for a royal, but it
only pays $250 instead of the $4,00 plus. Somehow it doesn't seem
fair.
I take it back when I said that the new vp machines had some "fair"
games on them. I re-checked and NO!, they don't.
I'll be there Monday morning for the regular poker tournament and
then a little vp afterwards.
