I tried paid online 3 play VP and was dealt 3 of a kind. I drew two
and drew the same same two on each hand. The odds of that are probably
close to that of a dealt royal. No thank you!! And the regulator of
online is??
On line RNG fault
There are 1081 ways to draw 2 cards. The prob of drawing the same 2
cards 3 times is therefore less than 1 in a million.
The prob of getting dealt a 3oak and drawing the same 2 cards on all 3
lines is about 1-in-55 million - compare to the probability of being
dealt a sequential royal, 1-in-78 million (1-in-39 million if you
count the reverse sequential ones).

Isn't the probability of this equal to
(1/1081)^3 = 1/1,263,214,441, making it less than 1 in a billion?

There is some commission, but check out the Wizard's site about this
if you really are interested.
Nope - the first draw is unconstrained. 1081 of 1081 draws on the
first line result in having 2 cards. 1 in 1081 draws on the second
line result in having the same 2 cards as the first line. 1 in 1081
draws on the third line result in having the same 2 cards as the first
line.

A common error. What you've forgotten is that the first draw may be any two
cards, so the 1080-1 shots only occur on the other two lines.
