Old Palms points

Sometimes. The Palms used to run promotional periods, four times/year,
where you could earn free play for points earned during those periods, PLUS you
could "match" that amount by converting your existing points to FP.
Couldn't take full advantage of this unless you actually HAD a good stock of
existing points.

Brian,
Thanks for explanation. I am new to this whole process and it is a herculean task to try and understand all the ins and outs of each program especially when you only visit LV as opposed to living there. I try to go online and research best I can and read very carefully the players club's brochures at each place. But the "help" from people like you who are in the know ----- is most appreciated.

I used up the balance of my "old" Palms points on meals and for the cost of the one non-comped night when I stayed there a few weeks ago. It was my first stay at Palms after a bout of playing there on an earlier trip. They did give me 3 free nights up front, but i did have to pay for one so the old points came in handy to cover the casino rate for that night.

In terms of "new" points, I was cashing those in as I accumulated them during the trip for Free Play. Do you think it would be better to let those points build? I get to LV 6-9 times a year so I am not worried that they will expire or anything. Just trying to understand better the way to extract greatest value for points from my play.

Thanks,
Diane
