When my wife and I left the casino Thursday a
marketing representive talked to us and was very nice
and apologetic and explained our accounts and all
others who had played the machine in the week since it
had bee reactivated were inactivated because they had
to analyze exactly what had happened.
Out of curiousity we went back last night. We wanted
to see if the machines had been put back in service
(They had not)and if our accounts had been restored to
active status. We played for about 2 hours and my wife
decided she was going to the Players Club and collect
the cash for her play for that session. The attendant
at the Player's club called the slot manager/club
manager to talk to her. He apologized profusedly for
the problem we had. He said they had found that the
machine we played on had been changed from a $20
machine to a $1 machine, but the points awarded were
not changed to compensate. He said it was not our
fault it had happened and they were going to give us
cash back for all the points we earned. Together that
amounted to $1500 for both of us and I'm sure all the
other people who played the machine and didn't cash
out already, had their points restored also. They gave
us all entries for the next drawing for a vehicle
based on the total points also (8,000).
Obviously we are more than happy with the way things
turned out. I suppose they assumed they would get the
money back anyway so why make two regular players go
elsewhere. So I guess I'm still cynical that the
casino has ulterior motives.
