Hi super
I agree 100.76%. I think a lot of the flack comes from newer players.
Gee, I've been on vp and bj boards for a long time and it seems to be
something that came about in last couple years. Maybe it's because
the board is bigger than others. The personal attackers will rant and
rave and they ice the cake with something like "You don't know how to
spell either." Once in a while I post. I like to keep it short and
don't express many opinions. Today I will express one:
We need to keep the personal stuff out of the posts. Let's say
someone posts that he has got comp show tickets and sold them for a
profit. There are two kinds of posters to this show ticket post:
1. The right way; You have to be careful doing that. I hear
casinos don't like that. You have to watch out
You could get into trouble.
2. The wrong way to answer; You must to be a slime and a creep
to do such a thing. I can't stand people like you. Your
no good etc.---
Post #1 is about the idea of selling comps and why not to do it.
Post #2 is about poster wanting to attack person who posted. If
posters are kicked off these personal attackers should be the ones.
What makes sense to me would a group of post busters. A chosen few
who can delete a post or two when things get bad. This way the
administrator doesn't have to spend a lot of time on police work. If
a post is busted the poster can ask why through e mail. Of course,
the administrator still reserves right to ban someone.
For what it's worth............Jeep

I know I have not been asked, but my advice for you is to stay if
they let you. I say this from personal experience. I stopped
posting
on this message board for about a year, and was not going to post
here ever again, but then decided, to the chagrin of many :), I'm
sure, to resume posting. Many people post here, probably the
largest
number of people in any VP oriented message board, and if you find
a
topic boring, very soon there will be another one. If you stop
posting, you will lurk if you still play VP, and then you will be
sorry you decided not to post again. I used to hate it that I could
not discuss everything that went against the FAQ's, which are my
favorite topics, but then it dawned on me that I don't have to talk
of sex with Mother Theresa, or of that famous wagon to an
alcoholic,
or of the Peruvian Stock Market to a soy bean specialist in the
Chicago Board of Trade. I find your posts amusing and read some of
them except when I don't feel like it after a few sentences, and
then
I have the choice of not reading them to the end, which sometimes I
take. No big deal. Life is too short to take seriously trivial
things. I can even tell you what I hate the most about your posts,
and that is the word 'megatoilet'. I like the big resorts. I just
would not go to Las Vegas as often as I do if they did not have
Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Caesars. I find in the new high
tech resorts many attractions that I do not find elsewhere,
starting
with a good system to treat the breathing air. I look forward to
visiting the new Wynn place. Anyway, when you put down those
places,
I can choose to laugh if on a good mood that day, and often I do,
or
stop reading your post. No big deal. There are other things you
write
that I can enjoy with no reservations. I believe that is true of
everyone, no two heads think the same. Best wishes for lots of
Royals.
